How does DoubleClick make money?

I am aware that DoubleClick, the company which serves Banner Display advertising via their DART solution, makes money soley by Ad Serving. However, some detailed explanation of how DART generates profit for DoubleClick is difficult to find. Do they charge Advertisers? Or do they just charge Ad agencies for the usage of DART platform? In any case, how much do they charge?

i do not pay extra for DART, its part of the way they adserve, its their point of difference. I am sure they cover their cost of this platform in the fees they change for adserving.
