How can Apple sell a consumer a product which has less gigabites than is says on the packaging? |
I have a new Apple Itouch 16gb but it really only has less than 15gb how can they get away with selling it with a gig less? Isnt this false advertising? In itunes it shows you your total capacity... iTouch software takes up part of the overall capacity, leaving you with 15gb remaining to fill with your own content. therefore, it is not false advertising. if you deleted all the software it would be 16 gb- there really are 16 gb, just its being used up already! every single computer company does that. the actual usable capacity of the drive is less than the total physical capacity because of the way the drive is formatted, and the software that is already installed. |
