Has anyone ever done a flash drive for a promo giveaway?

We are thinking about using this as a giveaway for a tradeshow. Do you know what a data load or having the supplier load the memory? I don't understand or I don't think that I do. Would the USB drive come without memory? How would I load it with memory?

USB Flash drives make excellent promotional giveaways. You don't have to worry about loading memory on to them. They come with it pre-loaded, just like they do in retail stores. They are priced according to how much memory they have available. Memory size ranges from 64MB to 8GB(sometimes more). The more memory, the higher the price.

Most promotional products companies that sell USB flash drives offer an option for pre-loading data onto the flash drive. This means that they will add data (files, pictures, powerpoint presentations, pdfs, ect.) to the flash drives for you. Any type of file that you can save on your computer can be loaded onto your flash drive.

Several people who buy promotional flash drives choose this option, because it's an easy way to get important marketing materials about their company into their target audiences' hands. There's usually an additional charge (per piece) for this service. If you are interested in this option, be sure to talk to your promotional consultant about locking the data onto the USB stick. This means that once your client receives the USB stick, the marketing materials on it cannot be deleted.
