Database Marketing plz help read?

ok im doing groupd project and i have question saying briefly desribe any existing interal data sources the company could exploit, for new customer aquisition for beer store. I just came to canada and here for 1 year so could you tell me what that means? and what should i do to find these answer? thx

If I was thinking how to approach this one I would do these things:-
1) Capture the names of all the regular clients, with addresses, so that you could mail them
2) I would run a competition in the store with a crate of beer as first prize, all you need to do is to drop your name and address in a hat .. gets more names, but second tier
3) Introduce a friend to the store and get a free (whatever) with your next crate, that way you are getting friends of customers for little investment
4) If the store has a website run a mail us a ... insert any competition answer, your statement about why we're great or why you like beer and winner gets a crate of beer, huge email list, little cost
5) Ask the suppliers of the alcohol for client lists they might have, eg the ones from the competitions they have run
6) Offer the local businesses vouchers for discount coupons for their loyal clients (and they have to put names and addresses on the back for entry)

And I could go on and on but you get the idea. (-8=

They are looking for a database (list) of names the store or company could mail someinformation to. Do they have a list of their best customers or a mailing list.

If its a retail store, probably not. Is it possible to get a list of customers who used their credit cards?
