If a person has an idea about a TV ad, what is the correct approach to safely sell it to the industry? If you are trying to protect your idea. The first thing to do is write a detailed description of the idea/concept and sign and date it. For further protection, get a witness to sign and date it. This can then be used to help prove you came up with the idea. Beyond that, I'm not sure when it comes to the advertising industry. I will say, haveing emforced many of my own patents, it is expensive, time consuming and not for the faint of heart. write a pitch letter to the head of marketing or advertising (which one usually depends on the company). You can usually find out who that is by googling. |
