I need help with setting up a direct mail campaign! Type of paper needed to be used etc.?

We are running a direct mailing campaign at my job and I was put in charge of running it. I have designed the brochure and will print it , but do we need a specific type of paper, do you get a break it postage etc. If you have ever done a direct mailing before please help me out!

Your printer will help you with the paper choices.

As far a postage is concerned, it depends on what method you use. If you label and ship yourself, then you might be able to use post-card postage (That's what we did when we direct mailed at my job at a pizza place.).

If you are using a third-party mail service, then they will give you your postage cost, likely a bulk mail rate.
