SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. It is a guide to follow when doing a feasibility study of a new product launch or a marketing campaign.

PEST stands for Political, Economical, Social and Technological. It is also a type of feasibility study mantra. You can assess the Political impact of a new campaign etc.

Both would be used in the sense of "A swot analysis" or a "pest analysis".

Hi

SWOT and PEST (or PESTLE) are tools to help marketeers and other strategists understand the products and operational environments. Understanding SWOT and PEST can help ensure you have the relevant material to make informed decisions.
The basics are - SWOT analysis - Strengths Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats - where SW are internal factors and OT are external factors - often derived from PEST analysis.
