What demographics do advertisers want to know for them to advertise in a particulal ad space?

first and foremost does the mark have the income, disposable or not, to be a major target. After that it depends on the demographic for the "piece" that will contain the ad. Teen magazine wouldn't be a suitable piece for Viagra ads. Golf digest could probably go without the Barbie Dream house ad (who knows with Christmas and grandchildren) and so on. You just have to picture what the marks want and stress that point in your ads.

Here is an general idea of what advertisers want to know. However based on the type of media, the consumer may need more information.

Audience: who is exposed to the ad ie does the ad go out to doctors or is the ad displayed in a busy mall or subway
Gender: 30% male 70% female
Age group: age 20 - 50
The Media Reach: Here are some examples - A Tv show may have a reach of 5 million household. A magazine distributed 50,000 copies. A website may have 100,000 unique visits a day.

Married Status: in some cases
