What do you know about viral marketing?

In essence viral marketing is the term given to marketing that's done from person-to-person, i.e. when a brand message or impression is passed, like a virus, through direct contact between consumers as opposed to from an advertisement.

It is often the result of a viral event or product or video that people grab onto and think is cool/interesting/funny/shocking enough to pass onto their friends and colleagues.
