Can I legally viedo tape a board meeting at our condo association meeting?

We had a hostile takeover of our board and now there is a meeting tonite about the appointments of new seats on the board and I would like to viedo tape it.

Thank you for your answers. I have contacted the Attorney General of Flordia Office and yes I can legally tape the meeting as long as I am not disruptive. The Sunshine law covers all board meetings.

That would be something you'd need to contact the state government on. Do not take the advice of anyone here that says Yes or No. I do not think Condo associations are covered by open meeting laws; only the county Attorney's office for the state you live in would know. They woow about any laws concerning "undercover" taping.

BTW, this is exactly the reason you should never live in a condo or a place where there is a HOA.

if you let them know its being taped its ok, but if you do it secretly its illegal.

as long as it's just for personal use. if you intend to use it in public you need to get the consent of the people in the meeting.
