URGENT transportation from miami to fort lauderdale?

Hello, I am going a cruise in 2 days.
My boat leaves from the following address
Imperial Majesty Cruise Line
4161 NW 5th Street, Suite 200
Plantation, Florida 33317
I am flying into miami, and I have no clue how to get here. Is there a reasonable transportation service to get from miami to fort lauderdale? Also, what is there to do in fort lauderdale? I am 30, and I never here about alot of fun in there. I am considering staying in miami and then just leaving from there, but I am open to suggestions. Thank you.

Cruises mostly leave from 2 areas: Port Everglades (in FLL) or Port of Miami. If its FLL, you should fly in to FLL airport because its often cheaper to fly into than then Miami's airport. But if your plans are already sealed, than there are shuttles available that go between both airports as well ones that go to both ports. And of course cabs, the ride costing in the neighborhood of 40 dollars to get to the FLL area from MIA airport. Both cities have ample nightlife and restaurants, so you should just google your interests. Miami is more latin, FLL is more american. have fun!

Its pretty close, about an hour in traffic, best bet is a taxi.

You can take SuperShuttle if you want to pay less than the cab fare. It will be between $22-$28 dollars depending or where you are staying. If you stay at a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, find out if they offer a free shuttle to Port Everglades.
