Does anyone here lives in Miami, FL??? If so, tell me something...?

Why do so many people prefer the Honors College of Miami Dade College instead of FIU (Florida International University) or any other public university???

Why do so many people advice me to go to Miami Dade and then go to FIU as a tranfer student??? I dont get it...I think it's easier to get directly to FIU, the Honors College is also complicated to enter to....

So what enormous advantage this college may offer for going there first???

Hell, what a lucky girl, going to the FIFA World Cup!!! I would have killed for going at least to one game....

I'm not sure, either, but it is less expensive than FIU with a possibility of a scholarship award to FIU. I can tell you this, though: My daughter went to MDC for 2 years then was awarded a full ride scholarship to Tufts Univ. and School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She received a lot of support from her professors and the administration to receive the scholarship which saved us a ton of money. My son went to MDC and transferred to Embry Riddle Aeronautical Univ. Great school, lots of support for deserving students...we live next to the Kendall Campus. Whichever you decide, good luck.

Not sure. A friend of mine, her sis went to FIU and now has a kick-*** job with DHL. DHL took her (The sis, and other employees) to Europe to World Cup in 2006.
