Are those scam or just bad jobs?

summer internship in sales/marketing
Job Description new account prospecting, account maintenance, route rides with coca cola reps, merchandising
and then there's AT&T sales rep where u contact current prospects to upgrade to fiber

the first job he told me
that you go ride with the coca cola guys and you go to stores and tryt o sell vitamin water and some other drinks
they told me coke is there disturbuter or there coke's distributer

The Coca Cola job IS legit....They employ Merchandising Reps whose job is to ensure proper placement on Coke products at "optimal" points (i.e. eye level or at the end caps of the aisle), actual restocking of shelves (grunt work..ok for a sales newbie who may want to advance with the Coca Cola organization).

And YES...Coke has it's own specialty bottled water division which competes heavily (big understatement) with other brands..so the merchandiser or Sales rep has to "upsell" on that as well.

Forget the AT&T 100% commission gig (in my opinion, 100% commission jobs are risky...no sales = no $$)...especially trying to sell fiber optic lines or whatever..expect a LOT of closed doors and "No Thanks....not interested" replies from potential buyers.
