They won't promote me. What can I do?

work for a big hotel grouop. I have been a manager before but my regional manager is blocking me and won't allow me to get a position as manager( I am a clerk). I did web design so I sent to my Corporate office suggestions to improve the Corporate site , the operation , the sales. The Senior Vice President sent me a thank you email. I sent a second email with better suggestion , got amother thank you email from the VP but still no position. What should I do? I am depressed

Put your resume together again, with what you have done successfully as a manager and what you can bring to the table as a manager, besides ideas and web work. Present this to the VP and go from there. I think you should flourish
right where your at spending most of you efforts on giving
to the company as opposed to what can I get from the company such as management, more pay ect... This is where your true value is and corporate will see that eventually.
Do something for someone without expecting something in return, and your depression will part from your mind.
