I have a question about getting a hired for a job at Kohl's Department Store...?

Today i attended a group interview at Kohl's.
I am a high school student, so my availibility is very minumum, limited to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
On my application I also wrote this with Friday I would be working 6 hours, Saturday 8 hours, and Sunday 4 hours.
When I turned in the paperwork the guy had us fill out he commented "ooh your hours are very limited."
I spoke to my brother about this and he told me to call them and tell them that if i were to be hired I would work on Wednesday as well. (Just for the sake of getting the job and then later changing it to my ordinary days)
Should I do this or not?
The guy interviewing us said to us that "If your talented and we feel like we need you, we will look past limited hours" and vice versa.What I don't understand is how he will determine if we are talented. It;s not liek we could work for a day and show him, you know?

So, I am wondering what i should do. He said he is holding orientation on Wednesday so he should be getting back to us before then.

I really want to call and tel them that I'm willing to work on Wednesday as well 5-9. Hwoever, will this look bad on my part because I didnt write that down earlier.

Honestly, I can't figure out what he means by talent. How is he judging out talent.

I really want this job...I want to work over winter break and I really like Kohl's!

sure you could do that and say that you could work work on wednesday, However what proabably turned him off the most was your I will work four hours won sunday, 6 hours on friday and saturday eight hours,

When you wlak into an employer like that, they want you to be more available.

Do you have previous customer service or retail experience, restraunt, any of that.

i'd wait to hear if they got back to me first... if u don't hear from them by tuesday afternoon give them a call. It will show ur eager to start and explain to them that u are a hard worker and would love to join in on the orientation wednesday night to get started with the company asap.

just be yourself, and hey if u dont get the job don't sweat it... there are a million jobs working for stores like Kohls.. and trust me if they don't hire u then they are dumb! the holidays are just around the corner and with all the shopping that's going on i bet they could use ur help.

i think ur hours are limited but are limited to the best days- most stores are busiest on the weekends... it's not like u said that u were only available mons, tues, and wed or something like that.

dont mention to them that u can work wednesdays just yet because u might be pushing urself too hard. take it easy and see if they are interested in ur first.. if not then like i said keep ur head up and get ur resume out there!! :) :) happy holidays!
