Where can I pursue a career in Computer Forensics in CA?

I am a 20-year-old-student who is working towards an AA degree in Computer Forensics. After my AA, I plan to go to Sacramento State and earn my BS in Criminal Justice with a background in Computer Forensics. Is this an advisable route that I am traveling? I hope to eventually earn a job in local law enforcement dealing with Computer Forensics and eventually work for the federal government.

Note: I also understand that Computer Science is also a good field, but I understand that Computer Forensics is more on the law side of the practice, so that is why I plan on earning a BS in Criminal Justice.

You can study and obtain from The California State University, East Bay Forensic Computer Examiner Certificate which is an authorized Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) training program.
