Lawyer not fully representing their client?

Does anyone know if an attorney who is suppose to represent their client, but is looking for the best interest of the defendant, can a person have a case of malpratice?

I have worked as a paralegal for many years if an attorney does that they deserve to be turned into the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission. Remember though you have to have sometype of proof, not just your feelings, but actual pleadings, notes etc. If you have no written proof they are not going to pay much attention. Of course, they will write the attorney and let them know and the attorney will be able to respond to the accusation. DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT

yes -- contact the Federal Bar Association or Legal Bar they will direct you in the right direction.

Anyone can sue anyone about anything - it's about the credibility of the evidence and the case. Consider contacting the Attorney General in the state you live in and explain your situation. The American Bar Association maintains www.abanet.org, and it may be a good place for information as well.

It would be really hard to prove, you better have great evidence and not just what you think

Not unless it affects your case negatively - which usually means that a negotiated settlement is not the best you can get. However, you have to realize that after factoring in the costs of trial, experts, and attorneys' fees, the negotiated settlement may be more than what can be recovered at trial (assuming you win at trial).

Malpractice is defined similarly in most states. Here's a good definition for Texas:

And one from Nolo Press (they print those self-help books about law [How to Fix Your Ticket, etc.])
