Any tips on how to do well in a debate?

an extratemporous one if that matters but a debate is a debate.

i wanna win!!

1) Do your research, so that you know your topic inside and out.

2) Anticipate your opponents' arguments, so that you have the counter arguments ready.

3) Anticipate his counter arguments to your arguments, so that you can also argue his counter-arguments.

Be sharp and rested. Don't party the night before.

Good luck.

Well just have lot's of info! and try to find valid facts you can use against your oppenents. You have to act aggresive..not violent. You have to get your point across, and still keep it together. Act confident, look into the audience's eyes. and HAVE FUN!!
Debates are one of the funnest things I did in school :)

Don't get mad or flustered. Once that happens you are toast!
