Please be bold !!
A misdemeanor IS NOT A FELONY !!
Felony is a serious crime and misdemeanor is Not !!
Nothing to worry please !!!

Please understand that most employers are only worried about felony convictions. They could care less about misdeamors, especially if they were during your college years. Most realize that students make mistakes and are willing to give you a change. STAY IN SCHOOL!

If it is your first offense, you most likely will get community service and have to pay fines. After a certain number of years after your probation is complete, you can petition to have your misdeamonor record sealed or expunged. Most states you have to wait between 3-5 years.

In regards to jobs, I would stay away from banks or credit unions. Any theft conviciton, would disqualify you from working at the bank, unless they knew you personally. Try a gas station (which most do not care what is on your record) or a grocery store.
