Please answer if you have been in this situation or are a legal person?

I the mother, has FULL sole physical and legal custody.

My ex the dad, has "supervised visitation only"

He has never requested any information as far as health, or school records, he doesn't even visit more then one time a month and he has no reason he cant. He is not involved in their lives if at all not much. I was wondering if i'm legally required to provide him with ANY information or if im only obligated to make sure he get's his visits with the kids

You are not REQUIRED to do or say anything but make sure the kids see him on his scheduled visits. Otherwise all the information you really should (to be a good mother) offer him is about their health and yes school info. If you don t tell him about there health issues he could use it against you in the future so its best to just update him when you need to.

It depends on a lot of things, especially the state you live in, but you probably don't have to provide him anything without a court order. Make him go to court and have a judge determine what information he gets and doesn't get.

If he asks for it, unless his rights have been legally terminated (which they have not if he has visitation), then you have to give it to him.

I guarantee your custody arrangement doesn't say a word about him not having information regarding their well being, and unless it SPECIFICALLY STATES that he isn't entitled to it, then he has a right to it.

Having legal and physical custody does not mean that he has no rights. That only means that in the event of a dispute, you have the veto power on a decision (such as medical), but you STILL are required to inform him of things whenever he requests it. Send it to him via e-mail or a letter.

To me, if he is just asking for information then give it to him....to me it is a petty reason to squabble, and if you anger him enough he can haul you back into court...as many times as the fancy hits him...do you really want that? On something that at the end of the day....doesn't even matter?

Unless he is ON DRUGS or IN PRISON, if he wants more rights, you can rest assured he will get them...with time, but he will get them.

Pick your battles carefully...that is the only advice I have for you. This isn't one I would choose to fight.
