no, but there can be a policy of encouraging women for instance. it also depends on your work like models are different and can be payed different because of their name.

Yes. There can be different levels of experience, or one worker could have been hired during a period when the company was hard pressed to find employees and offered a higher wage. There can also be a shift differential.

If you are the lower paid worker, during your next review, bring it up to your supervisor that you deserve a raise.

Sure you can. That happens all the time. Maybe the other person is doing a better job, or maybe they're just a better negotiator.
