Cautions and entering the legal profession?

I'm currently studying law at university and am due to apply for student membership for the law society shortly. However, just over 2 years ago i got a caution for travelling with a child travelcard. How will this affect my chances? I really want to be a lawyer and i've worked really hard, i'm really worried. Does anyone know of anyone or anything that can tell me about what is going to happen?

I don't know what country or state you live in. My guess is somewhere in the UK but I don't know where. I don't know what a "caution for travelling with a child travelcard" is, either.
As long as you weren't convicted of a crime, I think you should be fine.

I think the law can be a lucrative and interesting profession. I enjoyed it but it wasn't the career for me. You can do a lot with a law degree though.

Good luck,
Dana

it won't effect you as long as you are honest about it..
However should you try to cover it up then you could face questions about dishonesty..
Fraud offences would effect you if you were going to cross the bar for some speciality sections of your profession.
Most lawyers I know have been done for either speeding or minor traffic offences one or two have been done for drink driving and that is considered a criminal offence and they are still practicing.
Conflicts of interest between solicitors are more likely to effect you

GOOD LUCK and remember it's a step across the bar not a leap into the unknown..
Try and get yourself an internship with a local solicitor over the holiday break this will help you study
