I have an interview with the Department of Corrections??

I applied for a job with the DOC in Oklahoma for the position of an Information Health Technician. I have an interview next week and I am more than qualified for this position. My only problem is the interview! I am nervous, and not sure how to answer some questions that I am sure will be asked. Please help!! OR if anyone out there is employed by the DOC, give me some pointers!!!

1. Tell me about a time where you and a co-worker had a disagreement.

2. What are some of your bad qualities?? ( I have been asked this many of times!)

....Just questions like these. It is going to be in a panel of about 5 people asking me random things. I am nervous.

**A health information technician is also known as a file clerk/medical records clerk. I have done this for 3 years. **

Interviewing is an art that even the most seasoned person might not have. Obviously every interview is different but typically are all looking for the same thing. Energy, enthusiasim and no B.S. I have attached a link to my website for some interview tips. If you want some more help just shoot an email too JJ@theallianceconsultants.com and I will see give you some more detailed advice.

1. They want to know how you handle conflict. Be very specific about a time and assure them that you can handle conflict in a professional manner while still performing the job.

2. They want to know your weaknesses. Be honest, but always minimize it. i.e, "I'm shy at first, but it doesn't take long for me to open up to people and make connections."
