I got a felony in California will it count in Washington if i was trying to get a job?

A felony in another state is still a felony on your record, so yes it would count.

It is possible that you record can be expunged, but it depends on the state law of California. You can request to have your record expunged after a certain time period. You'd be better off asking a Public Defense office in CA.

Additional details - I don't make this stuff up. Go to the link and it will describe whether or not your conviction can be expunged...including felony convictions.

Yes.

A FELONY cannot be expunged.

People on Y!A need to understand that only misdemeanors get expunged and to get a felony off your record, you need to make an application through an attorney to apply for a pardon with the Governor's office.

Keep in mind, that a substantial period of time must have passed, you must be able to prove that you have made major improvements in your life, in order to have one granted...they don't just hand them out like candy.

"I can't get a good job" or "It's making my life difficult" is part of the punishment, and is not a sufficient excuse to qualify for one.

A Felony is like an Ex They follow you for the rest of your life
