Will I not get hired after background checK? |
It's for an internship, and I have a few misdeamors on my record for underage possession of alcohol. what about the misdemeanors?? Most places wont hire you if that comes up on your drug screen, but it really depends upon the standards of the place that requested it. I would say that if they wanted the tests done, it is likely that they will care though. The hair test will show marijuana that you have smoked for the past 3 years, minimum. If you can prove that you have a prescription for the adderoll, that wont count against you Underge alcohol is a status offense - if you were an adult it would have been legal. If I were hiring you - I'd ignore it. It looks unlikely you'll get hired. Even if you have a prescription for Adderol, the chances are that they won't give an opportunity to explain its presence. They'll just tell you they're not hiring you. They don't need to give a reason and many don't because they don't want to get into an argument. They shouldn't hold your misdemeanors against you since you were underage at the time. You didn't say what you smoked on sept.22, or if you smoked regularly up until that date? Different drugs stay in your system for different amounts of time, however you should be cool if it was marijuana and it was over two months ago. If your drug test comes back showing positive for any drug that could be legal, they will ask you what you are prescribed and often ask to see your prescription. You should be fine. Good luck. |
