I want to be a Paramedic, but i kinda have an issue that might affect it.?

You see, when i was 16, i did a very stupid thing on the internet and threatend the president, i was only playing around. 2 weeks later, the social services come knockin on my door asking me questions about the threat. They didn't arrest me, or even write a ticket or anything for that matter, they did however, put me in there "watch for these people" book. I was wondering, now that i have a "government" record, will this affect my future plans?

i went through this a while back... but i never threatened anyone... the only thing they check for on the background check is felonies and misdemeanors... even if you have some of them, you can go on to work in the field.. you just have to provide documentation of your side of the story, the outcome and show that you made everything ok....

Unless you're applying for a sensitive government job, don't worry about it. Not even a little.

I had a friend who was arrested, tried for rape, and then considered a felon. But, low and behold he is a paramedic now!

You should be ok in any field besides the ones that do background checks.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just go for being a paramedic.

All you can do is try and keep going with your future plans i know that usually things drop off when you become an adult but i am not sure about a goverment record. But you can't stop living and trying for a furture because of your passed mistakes i would keep going with your plans and goals and hope for the best!

Juvenile records are sealed once you tum 18
so even if they did a background check nothing would come up

You shouldnt have any problem....there's a reason that your records as a minor are sealed...people do stupid things when they are young...as long as you have no convictions as an adult it wont hold you back
