Legal secretary assignment? |
I'm busy with a Legal secretarial assigment and just have a trivial question...if you are sending a client a Property Information Questionnaire....or for that matter any letter you type....do you sign it as yourself or in the name of the solicitor? you sign it "William Shatner for President 2008"...they'll know what to do. It is always signed by the fee earner (solicitor or partner) or in the name of the practice. Legal Secretarties do not sign letters unless you are given permission to sign that particular letter in the name of the practice.. you shouldn't sign unless asked, and if you do it will not be in your name. You will be a cc at the bottom of the letter. Sincerely, UK - you would sign it with your own name but pp. before your signature, that what I done when doing legal work. |
