I am on workmans comp right now, and am thinking of moving back home, will I still be covered if iquit my job? |
This is an injury that occurred 11/21 and I am still off of work. I am scheduled to see the Dr again on 12/20. Please note that you are entitled for compensation for the injury sustained during the course of employment. i don't know. at the very least i would say that it is a sticky situation. my instinct says that since the injury occurred on your present job you would still be covered but your quitting would make things hard for you. I would ask your workers comp board. Quitting could cause problems and you don't want to lose any benefits you are entitled to! Yes, you can quit your job. In fact, your employer would probably be relieved to know you quit your job. Not in a mean way, just that they probably see you as high risk. That's why there are laws protecting people who are on Worker's Comp from getting fired for filing Worker's Comp. |
