What can happen to me

Working in an enviroment like that can be miserable. My last job had a lot of that. I just kept my mouth shut and didn't participate in it. The truth is they can not fire you for complaining about that, however, if yuo become known as a trouble maker, they can find a number of justified or unjustified reasons to fire you. I think it would be best to look for a job where you are appreciated and they are out there, I work for a extremely open minded place now and it is the best working enviroment ever--and everyone is thriving.

nothing can happen to you, if you feel unconfertable DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! report it, if you get fired, you have a law suite

If you are reporting harassment or abuse based on sex or race, your employer is prohibited from punishing you. If they do punish you, it is discrimination and illegal under the Civil Rights Act. Check out http://www.eeoc.gov/types/harassment.htm... for your rights and what you can do.

If your telling a manager he needs to handle the situation immediately with who is doing the harrassment. That is what it actually is. If it is offensive to you or around you/ in your veiw or hearing it. Once you ask for it to be stopped and it is not then it is your responsibility to take it to the boss's boss. If not handled then, hire a labor lawyer and get it handled.

keep names, dates, witness dot you I's and cross your t's and watch your own actions. It is against the law for the boss to retaliate, if they do still call a lawyer or call the labor board in your county.

If your offended others probably are too, if not to save your self the right thing to do is prevent others from being submitted to it.
