Cable and internet in Kansas City?

I might be moving to Kansas City soon, and was wondering what is considered to be the best Cable and Internet providers there. I have always been a DSL user, but I figure I can save some money in a package if I get Cable TV and Internet together.. but what should I use? Time Warner makes me leery because it is run by AOL (I think), but for all I know it may be fine. I'm looking for HD channels in Cable, and fast internet (no restrictions.. like not slow at certain times of day). Any information is appreciated.

Most places in KC only have one traditional Cable Company plus Everest and the phone company. Northeast Johnson County on the Kansas side has Time Warner. I used to have DSL and now I use T W standard access with Road Runner. I didn't notice any difference in speed. They did just make some changes to the system and the cable boxes seem to reboot a lot, but I expect that to calm down in a week or two. Olathe has Com Cast, and every time I visit friends their i hate there cable.

It depends on where you live in the Greater Kansas City Area you have Cox , Time Warner,and comcast among others in the Kansas City area and you don't have a choice so the prices are high and the service is lousy. I get local HD and Digital Channels from a simple set of Rabbit ears at no cost with excellent picture quality, My Internet and land line telephone is from AT&T and I get premium Television content from the internet and useing my LCD TV as a Computer Monitor. My total bill comes to less then $48.00 per month versis the over $150 per month that the cable TV companys charge.

Time warner seems to have sold my # I get so many wrong number calls and sales calls my caller id has 33 calls since I started my service 2 weeks ago, also the internet service doesn't seem to be configured properly so more time on the phone with customer service. I'm not sure how secure their network is, I'm starting to question it. It's blink of the eye fast about 90% of the time. My tv reboots alot, twice today.
