Do we have to file for Kansas City tax? |
On my hubby's check stub, it lists taxes taken out for fed, state, and Kansas City. We have to file for fed and state so do we have to file for Kansas City? We just moved up here recently so we don't know. We filed today and they never said anything about it. that is 1% you've just lost - anyone working in kcmo gets the opportunity to pay kcmo 1% of there income. If "hubby" travels and works part of his days out of kcmo - he can get that % back. for example if he worked 1 week on the road out of kcmo - he should get back 1/52 of the 1% returned. I suspect not, however a call to the City's Department of Revenue might be worthwhile. |
