Stores that welcome dogs? |
I'm wondering what other stores in Kansas City would welcome my dog to come shopping with me. We're not talking a little purse dog - he's large but well behaved. What stores/restaurants (besides pet stores) would allow us to shop together? Hopefully none. Why would you want to take your dog shopping? What if he has an accident? And what if customers are allergic? Very few if any - its an issue of health and safety - the only dogs I know of who are able to go anywhere are guide dogs for the blind and those training to be guide dogs The problems that arise from that is issues with alergies among other customers. Many stores here in Italy do not accept dogs for this reason. The other reasons are that many people do not like dog hair to get on their clothes, especially their dress clothes. Most store owners ban dogs because they are worried about accidents and ripped up products. No food establishments can allow dogs/pets into their resturant because of safetly issues. The health department would close them down in an instant. get some really dark glasses, tell everyone your blind...and that this is your seeing eye dog..they have to let you in I would like to know that too! Personally I would rather shop with dogs than with kids, but unfortunately health department regulations usually prevent animals from any place that sells food. Sorry, not in Kansas city, dude. That doesn't happen there unless he is a special needs dog with his papers and a vest and certification on him. Leave him home. Pet Smart, that's it. Petsmart welcomes pets, and the Three Dog Bakery on the Plaza also welcomes pooches. You'll see all sorts of fine folks with their little pets wearing pompous frippery on the Plaza! Hopefully none why would you want to bring your dog shopping that crazy. well here in illinois, they let dogs go to the mall with us, but they cant go into the stores. Pet stores is about it. The Brookside Barkery and some of the other pet places mentioned are about it, although I did see a women bring her dog (OBVIOUSLY not a service dog) into Anthropologie on the Plaza the other day...whatever. |
