What does a manufactuirng technician do in a pharmeutical plant?

Depends on the plant BUT...

Pharmaceutical engineering is largely large plumbing, heating and cooling devices, frementation, reaction and collection chambers with various vents which are neutralised and cleaned by water or catalytic converters.

That applies to manufacture of raw pharmaceuticals.

In a pharmaceutical formulation plant the process of manufacturing of tablets, capsules, suppositories, liquid dose forms, injections, infusions, patches and implants occur. A technician in these plants will be an engineer or pharmacist with specialist knowledge of milling, mixing, granulation and many other specialised processes including tableting, sterile procedures etc. The technician could work in any of these areas.

They could also work on the clean environment that is required in these plants which are always air-conditioned with filtered air at a higher pressure than the outside so that any leakage results in air escaping from the plant so contamination is minimised.

A manufacturing technician can work on any part of this plant and is likely to be an engineer with the ability to maintain the manufacturing process machinery.
