Shipping clothes into Ireland?

Last year I bought clothes off the abercrombie website and I had to pay over 鈧?00 in taxes for shipping them into Ireland! I want to buy some clothes off another site and was wondering do you get taxed on everything you ship in or is it up to a certain value? Thanks =]

Unfortunately, you will have to pay duties and taxes on any shipment you receive. However, with the weak US dollar right now, you can still save money. Check out http://www.bongous.com/country-informati... as they have some info on shipping to Ireland and they also have some links to Ireland customs sites. You may be able to get even more info there.
Your best bet is to buy multiple items in the US and use a package forwarding service like Bongo International in the link I already gave you. They will take all the purchases you make in the US and consolidate them into one shipment. Therefore, you will only have to pay one duties and taxes invoice on your shipment.
