Stamp duty on credit cards in ireland?

anyone who is living in Ireland and has a credit card would have noticed a deduction of 鈧?0 from their account 2 days ago,
although this stamp duty has been out since 2004 and was originally 鈧?0 I only discovered this today.
I canNOT see the JUSTIFICATION of MY government charging me ANY amount of money over having a credit card.

What is your opinion of this situation?

same here my opinion s they are losing money and workers so its getting tuffer for people who or on that duty

It used to be 鈧?9, then it went to 鈧?0 and now 鈧?0!
And you pay 鈧?0 for your ATM card. The fees should be abolished. We pay enough tax as it as ordinary workers.

I agree, i was born in UK and now living in Ireland. To go from companies practically paying for you to have one of their credit cards to having to pay the government is somewhat difficult to understand!
We also get taxed for having a debit card! I mean that's not even borrowed money, its money from your own account!!

As its gone down recently hopefully this means that in the future we wont have to pay tax on cards at all
