When it's their business to invest an INDIVIDUAL'S money already! That's the whole POINT!

Investment firms obtain loans for variety of sound reasons

They need help in financing the margin accounts of customers,

Carry some of their inventory

Use as deposits to participate in underwritings.

Expediently finance large fail positions for customers

Process DVP accounts.

Office equipment, facilities services, data processing equipment purchases, lease hold improvements, prepayment of insurance, benefits and taxes

Current revenues may not be enough to cover operating expenses .
( staff salaries , office space rental , & other related costs )

Investment firms may need a loan to give them access to money for operational and equipment costs instead of taking Individual's money for this purpose.
