Question for U.S. coin experts? |
I think (correct me if im wrong) they stoped making pure silver quarters in 1962 but after that didn't they go to making it a percentage silver? If so could anyone give me a time line of U.S. quarters and the% silver 1964 was the last year silver quarters were minted for circulation in the US. They are 90% silver. 1965 & later have NO SILVER, mostly copper with some nickel. From 1965-1970 Half Dollars were 40% silver, or silver "clad" after that there was no silver in any US coinage, except for collector or proof coins. |
