I am looking to benefit bussinesswise off of the Babyboom Generation- wht should I get into to accomplish ths?

Babyboomer #1 will be collecting SS chk. Jan. 1st.
The overall consensus is that the Babyboomers are not willing to completely retire so their spending habits will continue.
What would be the ideal arena to be in ,in order to profit from the proceeds??

Thin- I like what ur sayin-ur thnkn!
Anyone else-need some wood burnin here folks-

Unfortunately for you & I, it isn't that the Boomers aren't WILLING to retire, it's that only about a quarter of them had the foresight to even think about saving to have enough money to retire... Collectively, I suspect they expected to inherit TRILLIONS from their parents, but it ain't gonna happen, Mommy & Daddy are spending that money on healthcare and living far longer than their Boomer kids anticipated.

My guess would be (and it is just a guess) that the Boomers will not live to be as old as their parents, so healthcare stocks will still do well. The Boomer "me-first" sentiment will continue to bode well for recreational industry stocks, and finally I firmly believe the Boomers will drive the Dow higher; think about it, they CAN'T make enough from bonds, so they have to go with stocks. They despise risk (now that the risks they took as youths are catching up with their bodies!), so they will likely invest in "safe" stocks, ie the components of the Dow Jones Industrial Average...

The two areas most beneficial to the BB generation will be retirement services and extended health care. Either of these industry sectors will be lucrative for someone that can give excellent value in these arenas for their clients AND properly market their services to attract a sufficient business portfolio.

travel, leisure activities, golf, tennis, gymnasiums, luxury items etc, active retirement communites especially around cultural opportunities like university towns.
