Can i buy stocks/bonds on bloomberg terminal?

i work at an asset management company, and we have a bloomberg terminal that isn't necessary for my job, but i'm looking to learn as much as possible about its functions for my own career growth. i wanted to know if you can purchase/sell securities/bonds on the bloomberg terminal or if it can only be used for research. also, i'm in need of a quality training manual / resource for using the bloomberg terminal. i've heard the help functions are quite useful on the terminal itself, but if there are any websites/ hard copy manuals to study from, i'd like to know. thanks for your response.

You can't buy securities for your personal account. Bloomberg does offer functionality on some models that allows 'order routing' for some transactions on some exchanges. For example, you can use some Bloomberg terminals to make block trades for some derivatives products on the Eurex Exchange.

The help functions on the Bloomberg terminal are very well designed and very useful. The next best source is the Bloomberg website - all the information you need is online.

I doubt that you can...bloomberg is more " info" than trading. AND never do anything out of the ordinary at a " work" terminal...could cost you your job.
