Why does a stock price go up 22% with no news? What's up with that? More buying than selling. Don't only look at the % gain, look at the volume too. If there isn't much volume I wouldn't get too excited, but you know the old saying "Buy on Rumor Sell on News", if it was me, I would be ready to sell a little at the open. you can always buy it back when it comes back down... Insider information. Someone leaked what was going on. That has driven up the price What is the stock? It can be many things. If it is a dog, could be covering shorts. If it is thinly traded could be a big buyer and not enough low cost sellers. If it is a low priced stock it could just be moving with the industry. It's a stock that is too risk to own. insider buying, the news is yet to come. |
