What are to requirements to be satisfied to buy shares ?


Hi ...its been 5 months that i am in US .I have my SSN and Bank acc .what are the other things i need to start buying shares.How do I proceed.Is there any minimum amount that should be in the account for buying n selling shares.If you know any sites that give additional information pls do include.

I think you are ready...log on to E*trade, fill out the application and send a check...you'll get an ID and password by U.S. mail...then you can log on, enter that and have an account where you can make buys to fill out your " portfolio".
