What is share buy back mandate?

Is it good to sell or hold it when the company offer this option?

It is supposed to be good, because the company is buying its shares back. This means they are reducing the amount of shares in the market, which could- could- tend to make the price rise due to less supply of shares out there.

However, a share buyback on its own won't necessarily increase the price, because investments depend on many other factors (how well the business is run, profitability, future expectations, market conditions, etc)
