Investing 100,000 dollars?

Hello all and Merry Christmas! If i were to invest 100k, where would be the best place to place the money? Is it possible to earn interest on this amount every month? Say 5% a month for i dont know 6 months? Or is it done every year?

How does this work and how would you guys do it?

This is my analysis of my watchlist, and is what I invest from. Use it or lose it... :D

I would put $20 K in each of the following stocks:

WB (Wachovia Bancorp) 6.5% dividend yield
SOV (Soverign Bancorp) 2.7% dividend yield
ME (Mariner Energy) no current dividends
PTR (Petro China) 3.0% dividend yield
VLO (Valero Energy Corp.) 0.7% dividend yield
