What is a good method to invest in silver? |
What is a good method to invest in silver? If you really want to buy only silver and you have done your homework on it, the easiest and cheapest way to do it is to purchase the silver ETF: SLV. It trades just like a stock, you can buy it and sell it anytime the market is open, unlike coins or actual silver bars. You can buy silver coins/bars from the mint. Put them in a safety deposit box at the bank. Don't. Instead buy mutual funds or ETFs that specialize in natural resources or precious metals. Diversification is the key to good returns. Don't put your eggs all in one basket. Buying silver coins is another popular method of physically holding silver, such as the 99.99% pure Canadian Silver Maple Leaf. Coins may be minted as either fine silver or junk silver, the latter being older coins with a smaller percentage of silver than 99.9% pure silver e.g. U.S. pre-1965 half-dollars, dimes and quarters are 90% silver. bullion coins..............or stock in a company that mines silver................ buy kennedy half dollars. |
