Where should I go to sign up for an retirement account?

I am in my 20's and I am thinking about Roth IRA

good choice? also who should I go to for Roth IRA?

Roth is excellent (of course the money you invest is AFTER tax dollars) as you do not have to pay taxes on the dividend, interest or profit from growth of value in the assets.

I would suggest looking at the Mutual fund companies (eg. TRPrice, Vanguard, American Century etc.) as they can set up a ROTH for you and they are basically no sales fee companies. I would also suggest that as you have quite a number of years before retirement that you invest as aggressively as your stomach can handle and DIVERSIFY across business sectors, asset classes and countries as much as possible.. and always be looking for the opening of new funds as they USUALLY provide a good kick as they start up.

Good luck...

ROTH is a good idea, Fidelity.com has a good plan

RothIRAs are great, especially for you as you are 'young.' You will be paying the least amount in taxes right now than when you start retirement...so why put off a small tax bill now for a huge one later...right?
It really doesn't matter who you go through for the IRA, as they are all pretty much the same. You want to have access to one that allows you to invest in ETFs, iShares, individual stocks and/or bonds too...not just mutual funds..
I prefer to put my money in the ETFs and an actual bond. When I clear my earnings off the table for the ETFs, I store them in the Bonds, and reuse the Initial investment amount to go into another ETF. It called portfolio allocation and is called capturing your gains.

T. Rowe Price, Vanguard, Fidelity, etc., all offer IRAs with no brokerage or "advisor" fees. Check their websites.
