when dealing with investment do you get paid quaterly, weekly, or bi- weekly? If I want to gain atleast $500 in profit how much money would I have to invest in stock? As a general rule the stock market increases by 10% a year. That's not a guarantee and must stocks don't offer dividends. The reason for that is that companies consider reinvesting profits in growth a better value to shareholders than dividends (it lets them sustain the 10% yearly increase in value.... Stocks than offer dividends generally don't grow that fast and offer maybe 1% of the stock value as dividends. Income (dividends) are normally paid bi-annually, although can be paid quarterly or, less common, annually. If you are talking about stock\market investment, it is most unlikely you will get paid less than quarterly. I presume you mean the income aspect (dividends or interest) If you are talking about the gain then obviously you could take this in any time frame from 1minute to whatever. Most companies, in the UK, at least, pay 1/2 yearly divs. Some pay quarterly. |
