Is there More Silver in a nickel or Dime?

The Dime represents a significant number above the nickel but the nickel is thicker and much heavier!!!

there was, and is, never any silver in a nickel, except for a few years during world war 2, when it was 35% silver.

otherwise, it has always been 75% copper and 25% nickel.

there have not been any silver (90%) in regularly circulating dimes since 1964, the last year they were made.

all US coins are made of "cheap" metal...

Only older dimes have silver in them. The ones today are made of nickel and copper. Nickels have always been made of nickel. If you find an old dime that is made of silver then it might be more valuable as a collector coin than the silver in it.

no silver................

The only current coins with silver in them are the American Eagle coins ($10, $25, and $50). The US stopped adding silver to coins in the 60's.
