What do i do with a debenture certificate? |
I found a very old certificate that looks like a Bond or other monetary note. It says "Macy Credit Corp. 8% Debenture, Due January 15, 1982. $5000." Beneath that it has my name and a bunch of seals/signatures. I have no idea what it's for. Is it worth money to me? New info- http://www.glabarre.com/item/Macy_Credit... Go to Macy's website, investor information, and get the name of their transfer agent. The transfer agent manages stock certificates and bonds (like your debenture). Send them a copy and ask them what it is worth and what you have to do to cash it. You will most likely have to get your signature guaranteed, which is something your bank can do for you. first off, the bond is matured. |
