Yes. In business, one may multitask, get the deal done faster to be able to work on another deal. In another case, the longer the person you hired to fix your car or drain or do work for you, the more money you spend in labor hours.

Professionals like lawyers and consultants get paid by the hour and you know what I mean!

For your self, doing things yourself and how much time it takes in hours, the $ figure per hour you would have to pay someone is your savings! So yes I would say time is money in a literal sense.

It ignores effort, skills, talents, etc. People who are successful want to be rewarded for these attributes as opposed to an hourly wage.
