What do mean by Midcaps in stock market? |
indan stock markets Market caps are a way of categorizing the size of a company. Market cap is generally shares outstanding X price of shares. There are no specific rules as to what makes a small cap, vs mid cap, vs large cap, but I use $2bn and in is a small cap, $20bn and up is a large cap and everything in between is a mid cap. the companies in stock market are divided into three groups, large cap mid cap and small cap, Shares which does have lesser market capitalisation are called as midcap shares depending upon capitalisation of shares shares are devided in to smaalcap, midcap and large cap. A company with a market capitalization between $2 and $10 billion, which is calculated by multiplying the number of a company''''s shares outstanding by its stock price. Mid cap is an abbreviation for the term "middle capitalization". |
